Life in the parents eyes, this question keep running through mind, there is no greater joy on earth than being a parent, you love harder than you ever have, you become stronger than you ever thought you could be, you take the arsenal headed your way to protect them from harm, you look forward to the joy they bring to your life.
In Nov we found out we are expecting our precious gift, Illyana. March 29th we get the news they look on the ultrasound and say that our baby has an ultra rare heart disease, we cried a lot how are we supposed to take the news, so many things run through our mind, we are blessed with a wonderful community they help lift us up, they are always ready to pray and meet us where we are at, they help keep us strong.
We have had 2 other pregnancies no issues ever, at 35 years old you are now in the category senior pregnancy, Pregnancy after age 35 is sometimes called an advanced maternal age pregnancy, or geriatric pregnancy. Pregnancies at this age are considered higher risk for the patient and fetus, and some complications are more likely to occur. These include:
- Birth defects
- Premature birth
- Getting pregnant with multiples
- High blood pressure
- Gestational diabetes
- Chromosomal
- conditions, such as Down syndrome
- Miscarriage
We never even knew any of this, we wouldn’t change a thing though, when God lays it on you heart to do something just be obedient, God created Illyana for a purpose and we are going to fight for her and with her, her heart beat is strong she is a fighter when she moves we know she is ok, we give the glory to God.
We will be updating this more soon.
